New family member

Remember me? I’m still here… sort of. This 365 thing is hard. Like working out but at least I don’t get fatter not doing it. Anyway, we welcomed a new member to our family tonight. We’ll call him “Other Dog” since I wasn’t very creative in giving Dog a pseudonym to begin with-hah! He came to us from a family out in the country who couldn’t afford him anymore. Despite being nervous to be in a new home, he seems sweet and everyone in our house likes him, even Shy Cat.

Dog is on the left, Other Dog on the right. Dog is a boxer-hound mix and Other Dog is a border collie-chocolate lab. Don’t they look cute together?

Shy cat may or may not be on a hunger strike (she must learn from Little Bear). The hunger strike may or may not be because the cats are on diet food now. So we feed her tuna.

Lately, Little Bear has been here, there, and everywhere. She will explore anything within reach, and sometimes things that are out of reach. She’s pulling up (and squatting down, and pulling up, and squatting down…), crawling, sitting, scooting, rolling, grabbing, pushing, and even taking a few steps. Lately she’s been really into looking under things, or taking an object and flipping it over and over and over to see all the sides of it. Oma took a great series of photos today of her moving around the house:

Short post tonight as I desperately need to calm this pounding headache by climbing into bed. We went to pho tonight in hopes that it would make me feel better. It didn’t, really, but tasted great anyway.

Little Bear is into pushing things around lately. Maybe we’ll have some pictures of that tomorrow!
